Manifestation Vs. Manipulation
You cannot manipulate the Universe.
In my last post, I mentioned how we have entered a New World Order. This means, as a collective, we are experiencing an era of waking up to our personal calling in life and we are blessed with many tools and resources to help call in what we are meant to have. Key phrase: meant to have.
In this era of social media and collective consciousness, many gurus make the journey to “knowing thyself,” seem easy. When discussing laws of attraction, alignment, or being “woke” all around, practitioners make the journey seem smooth. “Change your mindset and become rich” they say.
However, the real tea is: it takes real strength, courage and commitment to shift your mindset.
manifest
adjective
1: readily perceived by the senses and especially by the sense of sight
2: easily understood or recognized by the mind
verb
to make evident or certain by showing or displaying
We are made in the image of God. Male or female, we are all connected to Source. Understanding this is to understand that every idea you perceive, is received from Source. What you want, wants you too. What you want to contribute, is a part of walking in your purpose.
My elementary school mission statement was “if you can see it, you can achieve it…” It was something the staff made us repeat every morning. (Aye, our elders have always taught us the power of affirmations. These practices are nothing new, it’s just new terminology.)
The art of manifestation is not just writing something on a piece of paper hoping God reads it. To manifest properly, is writing down that thought that God gave you and and gathering your tools you need to get you there. What tools? No, not a LLC, or logo. The tools I’m referring to can only be acquired through experience.
I recall being on the phone one night with my friend, Samara. I was about eighteen years old and I was sitting in the bathtub with my eyes closed. I don’t know what we talking about but I remember saying “I just want to live in a studio apartment in a big city and be a boss. I want to blog and live a Sex in the City life!”
And I did just that. I began manifesting the life I envisioned myself having. That was at eighteen and I’ll be twenty four in a month. I had no idea how I was getting to a big city, what I was going to blog about, who would actually listen to me.
Once I decided what I wanted, my logic met God’s logic and I realized: what I wanted was on it’s way but not in the package I ordered.
I had to experience a lot of life to get here. I never took my eyes off the prize though. I went through my experiences and I now allow certain lessons heartache to work as tools for me.
I would not be able to be writing any of this if I hadn’t experienced it first hand.
You know you’re growing when you find yourself asking “ok, what did I learn from this the last time? And how will I integrate the lessons from the last experience?” Experience requires patience. When you have these tools of life, you have everything you need to succeed because you are trusting in divine timing.
manipulate
verb
1: to control or play upon by artful, unfair, or insidious means especially to one’s own advantage
2: to change by artful or unfair means so as to serve one’s purpose
You cannot control God. You can only tell Him what you want and trust that He gave you the vision because he trusts you materialize it. However, you must be honest with yourself about what you want! And if you’re unsure, ask for guidance.
When you’re honest with yourself, you’re honest with others. Often times we deny ourselves of the experience we truly desire because honestly think we can’t experience the fairytale side of life. We are so accustomed to heartache, we think that is all we will ever experience. So we stop striving, once again, becoming stagnant.
Example: Telling people that you have no desire to date or be in a romantic commitment because of how relationships are marginalized. Denying yourself of intimacy makes you seem less gullible because it’s a generalized concept that true love is one in a million. This makes you seem more smart in the intimacy sector. All while secretly hoping that you’ll meet that one person who shifts your perspective and introduces you to something new.
This is a big example of manifesting vs. manipulation! You’re trying to manipulate the outcome when God already knows the desires of your heart.
To manifest the love you desire, you must become the love you desire.
This is where the power of affirmations come in because you can only attract what you believe in. For example, if you believe all relationships are toxic, you’ll continuously call in toxic partners because that’s the vibration you’re on.
While we know that God is omniscient, what are you calling into your physical world? If you’re on frequency of denial, you’ll most like attract people and experiences that don’t respect your worth. This is what we call mirroring. You’re not respecting yo’ own mind.
Life is a mirror. What you experience is often a reflection of the frequency you’re on or the vibe you send out. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, so think of this when you are manifesting and calling things into your reality. If you’re sitting on ideas and procrastinating, you’re actively denying yourself of the experience you truly desire. The longer you wait, the more out of reach it seems.
What you want is already on its way to you. A way is already made and doors are already opened. You just have to walk the through it.
